Ready Steady Transport Services is a for-profit non-emergency medical transportation company proudly serving the local and long-distance transportation needs of area seniors and those with mobility challenges.
Founded by an experienced transportation manager, Matt Saltzman, inspiration for Ready Steady Transport Services came in response to the lack of reliable, professional, and timely assisted transportation throughout Santa Cruz County. Recognizing the senior population is exploding only going to continue to grow in size and demand, Matt became inspired to leverage his years of personal experience to support our growing senior population and those with mobility issues.
Our staff goes above and beyond, offering compassionate door thru door services. Unlike other services operating as a curb-to-curb service, Ready Steady Transport Services is committed to safely escorting patients and residents from their residence or facility to a clean, comfortable, and modern wheelchair accessible vehicle. On arrival at their appointment, trained staff will escort clients to check-in.
In continuing to build strong relationships with area staff, residents, and families, Ready Steady Transport Services is keenly focused on providing exceptionally safe and timely customer service with the compassion you and your loved ones deserve.

We are continuously striving to implement effective strategies for enhanced training, integrated technologies, and managerial support and communication. Because we provide local and long-distance transportation, effective planning and communication between dispatch and key facilities is paramount.
We continuously work on enhancing our scheduling and traffic management in an effort to reduce travel and wait times while increasing efficiency. We work to adapt and implement policies and procedures to support our mission, to analyze and advise on transportation issues, evaluate scheduling conflicts, negotiate and correspond with carriers, vendors, and strategic partners.
Dispatchers will receive extensive instruction on using our technological integration systems designed to support our growing scheduling and logistical demands. Dispatchers are responsible for the following:
- Customer intake
- Preparation of daily schedules and trip manifests
- Effective driver management and scheduling
- Trip management and oversight
- Coordination with facility personnel
